I have done my best to lead with trust, honesty, and integrity - Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko

As the tenure of Councillors in all the wards of the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State comes to an end, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko has expressed her profound gratitude to God for making her tenure in office eventful and fruitful.

Hon. Bilikisu said It was an honor to have served as the Councillor of Abuga/Ozuja ward and as the Okene Legislative Council Leader in the last three years.

She thanked Governor Yahaya Bello and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for providing her the platform for ascending to leadership position and contributing to the development of Okene Local Government area.
Hon. Bilikisu while answering questions from journalists posited that she has done her best to lead with trust, honesty, and integrity, noting that during her tenure in office, she was able to keep an open line of communication with her colleagues and the people of Okene LGA.

Speaking further, the former Councillor said apart from her legislative duties, she embarked on projects that have direct impacts on the lives of the people of Okene LGA, citing the industrial borehole she donated to the people in her immediate community, Abuga/Ozuja as an example.

Hon. Bilikisu said she was also able to maintain cordial relationship with the executive arm of government and protect public facilities within the local government area through effective legislations. 

Hon. Bilikisu ascerted that all the achievements were possible because of Governor Yahaya Bello's concerns to address key issues in the state, especially at the grassroot level.

While thanking the Permanent Secretary in the Kogi State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hajia Habibat Onumoko for her supports to the Councils across the 21 LGAs in the state, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko prayed the Governor elect, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo governs Kogi State beyond the expectations of Kogi people and bring more developments to the state.
