
Kogi AG Flags Off Dekina and Ankpa FAWWASS Chapters
Kogi State Accountant-General, Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has officially flagged of two chapters of Fairwin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) in Ankpa and Dekina local government areas in the eastern part of Kogi State.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Accountant General said, "FAWWASS is open to all women in the state."
"We believe in supporting one another and growing together as a family."
She also explained that the APC government in Kogi State has delivered real results that have improved lives across the board, maintaining that the progress is visible, and the impacts are undeniable.
She said, "in 2027, we shall be reminding the people of the transformations they've already seen"
She expressed gratitude to governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for expressing zero tolerance to all forms of gender based violence through the enforcement of gender sensitive policies in the state.
While reiterating the significant roles of women in nation-building, noting that women ought to be supported by all means in politics to birth new hope for the country, she said governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has shown the political will to consolidate on the gains already recorded in the fight against gender based violence by the immediate past administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello.
FAWWASS continues to serve as a platform for women’s advancement, advocating for equality, dignity, and opportunity in every corner of the society for Kogi women.
