Kogi AG Empowers Petty Traders, Less Privileged, Others with Cash

Kogi State Accountant-General Dr Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has reiterated that economic empowerment remains one of the core objectives of the present administration of Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that it aligns with the broader economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Dr Habibat Oyiza stated this in GRA Okene during her cash empowerment program to over 3000 women petty traders and the less privileged in the society.
According to the Accountant General, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has designed series of transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing the economic and social well-being of women in the Kogi State, 

She celebrated the resilience and strength of women, stressing their indispensable role in families, communities, and nation-building.
She said, "we are all aware of the challenges faced by petty traders who form the backbone of our local economies"

"Our government knows that our women lack the financial wherewithal and this is why we are always coming up with this kind of program ".

"When women thrive, their families thrive, and by extension, our communities and nation prosper” .

The Accountant General also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the governor of Kogi State, and hailed gov Ododo's passion for gender equity.
While charging the beneficiaries to make good use of the cash to upscale their businesses, she urged them to remain courageous, supportive of their husbands, and above all, God-fearing family builders.
Recall that four months ago, over 2000 women were empowered with grinding machines, sewing machines, deep freezers, and hair drying machines
