Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, Benson Idahosa University, to Host Prestigious Alumni Award Dinner

The Faculty of Social and Management Sciences (FSMS), Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, is set to host a prestigious Alumni Award Dinner on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Main Auditorium of the Heritage Campus. The event is scheduled to take place at 12 pm, with a red carpet reception commencing at 11:30 am.
According to Dr. Philip Osemudiamen Ogbole, a lecturer in the Accounting Department and Chairman of the Publicity Committee for the FSMS Alumni dinner, the event aims to reconnect with alumni, rebuild relationships, and foster a sense of community among the faculty's alumni members. Dr. Ogbole noted that the dinner is specifically designed for distinguished personalities who have obtained any degree from the various departments within the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at Benson Idahosa University. According to him, this is because, “these individuals, now referred to as Alumni members, are regarded as ambassadors of the faculty”.
In an interview with our journalist, Dr. Ogbole explained that the event will feature activities focused on relationship building among Alumni members, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences and the school community. “The event promises to be an exciting opportunity for alumni to reconnect, share experiences and celebrate their achievements”, he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Ogbole hinted that the event is expected to bring together alumni and faculty members to celebrate the faculty's achievements and discuss ways to strengthen relationships between the faculty and its alumni. He also hinted that the Alumni Award Dinner is part of the university's efforts to engage with its graduates and promote a sense of community among them and that all alumni and friends are invited to attend the event.
