Why Kogi Central Must Create and Maintain a Political Ideology:

By Abdulkareem Abdulwahab

Kogi Central, home to the Ebira people, has played a significant role in the political landscape of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

However, despite its influence, the region has yet to establish a strong and unified political ideology.

The absence of a consistent ideological foundation has led to political instability, uncoordinated leadership, and a lack of sustainable development.

To secure a prosperous future, Kogi Central must create and maintain a well-defined political ideology that aligns with its values, aspirations, and long-term goals.

A political ideology serves as a guiding principle for governance, decision-making, and leadership selection.

It provides a framework for political participation, policy formulation, and socio-economic development.

Without a clear ideology, political activities become opportunistic, and governance lacks continuity and purpose.

Establishing a political ideology in Kogi Central would:

1. Promote Unity and Collective Progress.

2. Ensure Sustainable Development.

3. Improve Political Representation.

4. Curb Political Exploitation.

5. Enhance Accountability in Leadership.

To create and maintain a political ideology, Kogi Central must take the following steps:

1. Identify Core Values and Aspirations.

2. Educate and Sensitize the People.

3. Develop a Political Manifesto.

4. Encourage Political Participation.

5. Establish Political Think Tanks and Advocacy Groups.

For Kogi Central to achieve sustainable development, political stability, and effective representation, it must establish and maintain a well-defined political ideology.

This ideology will serve as a blueprint for governance, unify the people, and ensure accountable leadership.

By embracing a political ideology, Kogi Central can chart a progressive path that secures the future of its people and enhances its political relevance within Kogi State and beyond.
