Ramadan: Kogi State Accountant-General, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Congratulates Muslims, Distributes Bags of Rice


Kogi State Accountant-General, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the muslims in the state as they embark on the sacred journey of year 2025 Ramadan.


The Accountant General emphasized that the commencement of the holy month and the opportunity to witness it are blessings from the Almighty Allah, underscoring the importance of not taking these gifts for granted.

Dr. Habibat Oyiza who's renowned for her unwavering commitment to selfless service, on Wednesday began the distribution of rice to the residents of the state in commemoration of the Ramadan season.


The gesture which is a routine tradition by the Accountant General was aimed at ameliorating the economic hardship and to provide succor to the people, especially in the Holy month of Ramadan.

While noting that Ramadan offers an opportunity for spiritual rebirth and renewal, she made a passionate appeal to the people of Kogi State to hold tight to their faith and indulge in prayers, particularly enjoining the women to be supportive to their husbands and to remain prayerful for the sustenance of peace and progress of the state and the country in general.

The Accountant General urged muslims to continue to live up to the tenets of their faith through acts of charity, kindness and generosity, and further admonished them to maintain peaceful co-existence with their neighbours.
