
Kogi State Accountant-General Celebrates Dedicated Years of Service and Retirement of Distinguished DLGs and Treasurers

In a magnificent ceremony that will be remembered for a long time, the Kogi State Accountant-General, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko hosted a retirement celebration in honor of respected Directors of Local Government (DLGs) and Treasurers who have served the state with distinction.
The event was attended by top government officials, family members, friends, and well-wishers of the retiring officials.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and nostalgia as the guests celebrated the remarkable careers of the retirees.
In her remarks, the Accountant-General, praised the retirees for their dedication, hard work, and commitments to public service.
She noted that their contributions to the development of Kogi State would never be forgotten.
The retirees, who were visibly emotional and filled with joy, expressed their gratitude to the executive governor of Kogi State, H.E Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Accountant General and their colleagues for the honor and recognition.
They also shared some fond memories of their time in service and offered words of wisdom to their colleagues.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of gifts and awards to the retirees, followed by a reception that featured music, dancing, and merriment.
The Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk who recently celebrated his birthday was also honored at the event by the Accountant General.
