Okene Local Government Chairman Engages AEDC Over Rising Electricity Bills and Power Supply.

In a bid to address the challenges facing residents and businesses, the Chairman of Okene Local Government, Honourable Ahmed Nuhu Enesi, held a high-level meeting with the Head of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) in Kogi Central at the Local Government Secretariat.  

The Chairman raised serious concerns over the current incessant increase in electricity bills for private and commercial users, describing it as a burden on the people and a threat to the survival of businesses in the area. 

He emphasized the urgent need for the AEDC to consider the prevailing economic realities and review the exorbitant charges.  

Honourable Ahmed Nuhu Enesi further called on the electricity company to ensure improved power supply to the local government, stating that consistent and affordable electricity is essential for the growth and development of the community.  
Responding, the Head of AEDC assured the Chairman of the company's commitment to addressing the issues raised. 

He promised to review the billing system and encouraged residents to report any instances of unwarranted billing directly to his office for immediate action.  

The meeting marks a significant step towards easing the challenges associated with electricity bills and ensuring better service delivery for the people of Okene Local Government.
