Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia (Dr.) Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the executive governor of Kogi State on the occasion of his one-year anniversary in office, hailing his commitment to bringing hope and progress to the people of Kogi State.
The Accountant General said with governor Ahmed Usman Ododo leading the way, there is hope for a future of growth and development, free from division and discord.
She thanked the people of Kogi State for standing by the present administration through the journey to the office, and their supports and prayers for the incumbent governor to overcome challenges that are not unusual in the life of a new Administration.
She noted that in just one year of Ododo's government, the governor has been nicknamed “Project Governor”, "Inclusive Governor", "Alert Governor”, and Chief Servant".
According to her, these nicknames were as a result of his timely execution of projects, commitments to Kogi people welfare and his resolutions to regular salary payments.
The Accountant-General thanked former governor Yahaya Bello for bringing a worthy successor, and described the former governor as the father of modern of Kogi State.
While calling on the people of Kogi State at home and in the diaspora to embrace peace, forgiveness, and inclusivity, she stressed that by working together with Governor Ahmed Usman, regardless of political differences, a brighter and more prosperous future for Kogi State is possible.
She prayed God to grant the governor the wisdom, strength, and resilience to navigate the roads ahead, praying that his administration will leave a legacy of positive change and lasting success in Kogi State.
