A renowned philanthropist in Ogori/Magongo LGA, High Chief (Hon.) Adesina Sylvanus Meka has again, sponsored medical treatment of two patients in the area.
As part of his long-standing commitment to humanitarian service, he has again brought succour for Adebayo Boyi & Abdulkareem Momoh.
Newsmen gathered that most of the treatment were done outside the state, even as far as Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chief Adesina who expressed happiness over the successful operation, noted that the eye operations would not only restored the visions of Mr Adebayo Boyi and Mallam Abdulkareem Momoh, but would give them a new lease of life.
He also noted that many people are at risk of trichiasis, but with limited access to healthcare.
High Chief Adesina explained that trichiasis causes the eyelids to turn inwards and the eyelashes to painfully scrape on the eye and if it is not treated, it can eventually cause blindness.
He said bad sights can affect quality of life and chances of education and work, and charged the people of the area to take their health seriously by visiting the hospital regularly.
Also speaking was a staunch supporter of the Ododo Vanguard. A political group founded by High Chief Hon. Adesina Sylvanus Meka.
Alh. Awuru Hussein in his note explained that High Chief Adesina has taken responsibility for all the expenses of those undergoing surgery, within the period, until they are healed.
He added that such free medical outreach has been going on for a long time.
According to him, High Chief Adesina through his foundation has touched the lives of many across Kogi Central by supporting the poor and vulnerable, especially in the area of healthcare and economic skill.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to High Chief Adesina and prayed that God will continue to bless him.
