NYCN 60th Anniversary: Ogori/Magongo NYCN Coordinator, Alao Congratulates Kogi Youths and NYCN Stakeholders
The Coordinator of Ogori/Magongo chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Godwin Alao has congratulated Kogi State youths, especially the state Chairman of the Council, Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale as he joined Nigeria youths to commemorate the 60th year Anniversary of the youth organization.
He said the Ogori/Magongo chapter of the NYCN over the years has engaged in numerous activities, including educational seminars and community service initiatives, notably, the "Plant A Tree, Protect the Environment" project where economic plant where planted in schools in the local government area to improve air and quality water, showcasing the youth body's dedication to community service.
According to him, Ogori/Magongo youths stand united, leveraging their collective strength and potential for the progress of the LGA and the state.
Comrade Alao equally commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his outstanding developmental strides in Kogi State, noting that the efforts of the administration in the sector has significantly reduced the number of out-of-school children in the state.
He said,
"The present administration under governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has embarked on several reforms and projects that provides Kogi youths with the right environment to succeed and drastically reduced the number of out of school children."
While lauding the achievements of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Monday Anyebe, in less than one year in office, he posited that the robust relationship between the Commissioner and the Special Adviser on Students and Youth Affairs, Amb. Oladele Nihi, has contributed to the success recorded by NYCN in the state.
Comrade Godwin Alao in his final note charged the youths in the local government area to pray for the administration of Hon. Rosemary Ohiezu, while putting in their best, and cooperate with security agencies to sustain the peace in the area.
