Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has extended its congratulations to Chief Edward David Onoja (CEDO) on his well-deserved appointment as member, South East Development Commission (SEDC).
In a press statement in Lokoja signed by the NYCN chairman Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, he noted that the appointment is in recognition of Chief Edward's brilliance, capacity and dedications.
Comr. Benjamin hailed the recent creation of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said "the recent signing into law the bill establishing the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a commendable move to address many years of neglect of the region and a pathway for sustainable regional growth and transformation".
According to the youth council chairman, the SEDC will specifically address the socio-economic challenges facing Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi states.
While calling on the former Kogi State deputy governor to see his new appointment as a call to service, comr. Benjamin urged him to work harder and contribute immensely in laying a roadmap for a more secure and prosperous future for the South East
