Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko Empowers 50O0 Women, Men, Others to Mark Birthday

As part of the activities lined up to mark her birthday, Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has empowered over five thousand women randomly selected from wards across Kogi Central senatorial district.

Others who benefitted from her outreach program were the physically challenged persons and the vulnerable in the society.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries during her birthday celebration, the Accountant General explained that the gesture was aimed at showing gratitude to God for sparing her life, and for the support the state government enjoys from the people for the past ten months.

The items distributed were sewing and grinding machines, while many others were provided with start up capital for trade. 

The Accountant General in her selfless tradition, also donated some of her birthday gifts to those in need, further showcasing her unwavering commitment to giving.

Recall that in the lead-up to her birthday, she had received local artists who trooped her residence to perform.

Speaking at the birthday event, the Accountant General of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulganiyu Sani said Hajia Habibat through her initiative, FAWWASS, has provided relief to the downtrodden, widows, orphans, and many others.

He commended the resilience spirit and the political will of Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko, to take empowerment to the door steps of those who truly need them.

He prayed that God will continue to bless the Accountant General and make more provisions for her to sustain her initiative.

On his part, the representative of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Taru Adudi Obombom of Esusu clan  congratulated the  celebrant.

According to him, the celebrant took over her late father's legacy. He urged Hajia Habibat Oyiza to sustain the good work her father did as a community development specialist and advocate of better life for all.

Others who spoke at the ceremony including the State APC Party Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Bello, RUWASA boss, Hon. Ibrahim Ahovi, and the Chairman of Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Alh. Adams Adabenege noted that the celebrant has illuminated the path to gender equity, and created opportunities for women and young girls to rise and claim their rightful place in shaping their future.

The birthday event expertly managed by an experienced Master of Ceremony, Mr. Mohammed Usman popularly known as DSO, took place at GRA Okene and it was witnessed by the creme de la creme of Nigerian politicians, diplomats, political office holders, business players, technocrats, professionals in various fields, activists, traditional rulers, women and youth organizations, including FAWWASS members from the 21 local areas of the State.

High point of the event was the awards giving to the Accountant General from reputable organizations like the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), and the visible elated women and men who sang and dance with the Accountant-General in appreciation of her gesture.

The beneficiaries prayed for long life, sound health and more success for the state Accountant General.
