Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has called on the people of Kogi State irrespective of their religious affiliations to tow the line of peace which the state needs presently.
The Accountant-General in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lokoja, urged Christians to continue to pursue love, tolerance and peace with adherents of other religions in this yuletide season and throughout the new year.
According to her, this season symbolises love, care and compassion for persons, especially the weak, vulnerable and the less-privileged.
While charging the Christians to use the festive occasion to pray for unity, peace and prosperity of Kogi State and Nigeria, she advised Christians to celebrate in moderation and to devote much time to appreciate God for His mercies and to reflect on ways to dedicate their lives to the service of God and humanity.
The Accountant-General expressed optimism and determination, highlighting the collective strength that has defined Kogi State throughout the challenges faced in year 2024.
