Kogi State Accountant-General, Habibat Oyiza Donates Transformers to Obehira Community
It was a moment of jubilation for leaders, residents, and business owners in Obehira Uvete and Obehira Ebeba communities in Okene II, as Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko delivered 500KVA transformers to restore power and boost economic activities of the area.
The Accountant General said the provision of electricity to both the rural and city dwellers was one of the cardinal objectives of the present administration in the state and ordered the immediate installations of the facilities.
According to her, a stable electricity supply is essential for local businesses to prosper and contribute significantly to the state's economy, thus expanding employment prospects.
The Accountant-General further revealed that more transformers already procured by the administration of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo would be distributed soon to communities where it's needed.
She urged the Obehira Uvete and Obehira Ebeba communities to make good use of the transformers and protect it jealously to serve them, noting further that the lives of the people in the communities would be better with the new transformers.
In their separate appreciation messages, the community and political leaders in the area noted that the donation of the 500 KVA transformers was strategic in response to the challenges caused by epileptic power supply in the area.
They revealed that each of the transformers will serve 300 to 450 households, thereby unlocking significant economic and social empowerment value.
While thanking governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for reposing confidence in the state Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko, they prayed that God will continue to bless her and give her more political will to offer more service to the state and humanity.
