KCCDA gets new President, Justice Jimoh Sadiq


Kogi Central Community Development Association (KCCDA) on Sunday picked, Justice Jimoh Sadiq as the new President of the apex community body.

The delegates of the association converged in Okene Secretariat, and unanimously endorsed Justice Jimoh Sadiq after his nomination by the communities in Ajaokuta local government area.

The nomination, which was said to be based on the antecedents and contributions of Justice to the growth and development of communities in Ebiraland, was thereafter affirmed by the delegates from the five local government areas in Kogi Central.

Speaking during the program, the Chairman of the electoral committee, Hon. Ibrahim Enehe Abdulraheem said it was the constitutional right and turn of Ajaokuta local government area to produce the President-General of the association and charged the new president to remain committed to efforts that would further cement peaceful and harmonious relationships between Ebira and other ethnic groups in the Kogi Central.
Meanwhile, the transition committee chairman, Comrade Yaqub Ishaq Ayihi commended the electoral committee for doing a good job and congratulated the new executives, urging them to be honest in the discharge of their duties.

In his acceptance speech, the new president, Justice Jimoh Sadiq revealed that he has served the body as Auditor General for four years, and as Treasurer for another four years before his new position as the president of the body.

He said he will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the table having served in various capacities within the association.
While promising to work with the leadership of Ebira Peoples Association (EPA), and Ebira Youth Congress (EYC), Justice Jimoh Sadiq expressed confidence that KCCDA will continue to thrive, innovate and make meaningful impacts through strengthening of membership engagement and participation.

Present at the event were traditional rulers, community and religious leaders, Kogi State government officials and the representatives of security outfits in the state.

President - Justice Jimoh Sadiq (Ajaokuta)

Public Relations Officer - Ibrahim Abdulrazaq (Adavi)

Assistant Public Relations Officer- Bello Usman Enehe (Okene)

Assistant Secretary - Abubakar Suleiman (Ajaokuta)

Social Director - Amos Eyika (Ogori/Magongo)

Auditor- Adams Ibrahim (Okehi)

Financial Secretary - Tayo Onimisi Omodaiye (Ogori/Magongo)

Woman Leader - Musa Shefi (Okene)

Provost- Usman Omuya Kabir (Adavi)

Treasurer- Ajayi Mohammed (Okehi)

Vice President - Abasi Lamidi Ikutemi (Adavi)

Secretary - Mamman O. Yakubu (Okene)

Provost Marshal- Ozigi Suleiman Okuku (Okehi)

The inauguration of the new executives will come up on 7th December, 2024 at a venue that would be communicated to the general public later.
