Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia (Dr.) Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has stressed the need for peaceful co-existence, and urged Kogites to remain united, regardless of their religion, political affiliation, or social backgrounds.
She gave the indication during her community Engagements/Kogi Central stakeholders meeting held in GRA Okene on Sunday.
The Accountant-General reaffirmed governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's administration’s commitment to addressing needs of the people and ensuring their problems are adequately attended to.
During the program, special inter-faith prayers was made for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Executive Council to succeed in providing good governance to the state.
Special supplications were also made for former governor Yahaya Bello.
According to the Accountant-General, former governor Yahaya Bello is a trusted and tested leader who has touched lives and redefined leadership in the country.
While thanking the former governor for giving the state a good successor, she noted that it's not surprising to see people ganging up against him.
The event saw a significant turnout of sons and daughters of Ebiraland, especially those holding political positions in the present administration, including the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Mohammed Yusuf Ahovi, RUWASA boss, Alh. Ibrahim Ahovi, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission chairman, Alh. Adams Adabenege, APC chieftain, Sani Ogembe, amongst others.
High point of the program was the exceptional musical entertainment provided by local artistes like Osiresi Kahe, Rambo dancers, Avosuahi Ozi Ofelele, See Cola Obomi, Avoyi, and Sule Rahama.
