Kogi AG, Habibat Oyiza distributes Wrappers, Canvasses Support For APC Ahead of LG Poll

Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko on Sunday defied the scorching sun to distribute wrappers to over 10,000 women in Kogi Central

This is coming few weeks after the Accountant-General shared food items and cash to support women in wards across the 5 Local Government Areas in Kogi Central.

The Accountant General said the gesture was to show love and support to the women at the grassroot level.

The AG while assuring the women of her continuous support, paid glowing tributes to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving seventy two thousand, five hundred naira minimum wage for Kogi State workers, describing the governor as a leader with the interest of people at the heart.

She said the governor is scaling up the status of women and the vulnerable in the society by taking a significant step towards uplifting them, restating that the governor recognizes that women empowerment is crucial for societal growth.

According to her, many women struggle to make ends meet, and  prioritized basic need over personal care

The beneficiaries thanked the Accountant-General for the kind gesture which they described as routine exercise from her office.

In a related development, the Accountant-General has called on the people of Kogi State to vote for the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the October 19th Local Government election in the state. 

The Accountant-General who reportedly addressed members of FAWWASS in Ebira language appealed to them to close ranks, and work collectively for the success of the party.

She said all the APC candidates have all the requisite qualities of a good leader as they were born and bred in the grassroots.

The Accountant General equally called on the people of the area to vote for all the APC Councillorship candidates this Saturday to enable the government of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo deliver more dividends of democracy, positing that, an APC fully controlled local government is the key to more dividends of democracy at the grassroot level.
