Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has commiserated with the family of the late Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alhaji Muhammed Sani Omolori over the death of the wife of the late King and mother of the former clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Muhammed Ataba Omolori, Hajiya Safinat Omolori.
In a condolence message by Governor Ododo at the 3rd day Fidau prayer, he described the late Hajiya Safinat Omolori as the mother of Ebira land whose passing is mourned by all sons and daughters of the Ebira community.
Governor Ododo who attended the ceremony in company of senior officials of the Kogi State government and the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje used the occasion to call for peace and unity among sons and daughters of Ebira land towards achieving meaningful development in the community.
The Governor's presence demonstrated solidarity and support for the bereaved family and symbolises renewed commitment to enduring peace and harmony among leaders of the Ebira community at home and abroad.
Governor Ododo prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Hajiya Safinat Omolori and assured that the Kogi State government will support the family during and beyond the mourning period of the departed matriach of the Omolori family.
The Governor also paid traditional homage to the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje where he praised the monarch for leading the charged to ensure lasting peace and unity among all Ebiras.
The Kogi State Governor was also at the Central Mosque in Okene for the Juma’at prayers after which he walked for over one kilometer through the street to his residence at the Government Reservation Area in Okene to the administration of supporters and residents of the area who trouped out to catch a glimpse of Governor Ododo as he patronized petty traders and exchanged pleasantries with some of his friends in a show-stopping fashion.
