...promises to come out en mass to vote for all APC candidates in Oct. 19 election
Ogori/Magongo chapter of the FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and inclusion in governance for the Advancement of democracy and gender equality in the state.
The group noted with delight that the complementary role the State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko is playing has led to series of appointments of women with sounds intellectual ability and grassroots mobilisation capacity.
Acknowledging her numerous philanthropic gestures, the group thanked Hajia Habibat for her compassion towards the women across the state.
The women stressed that her empathy has been instrumental in alleviating the hardships currently confronting many women, especially the petty traders
The members of the group, ahead of the Kogi State 2024 local government and wards elections, also declared unalloyed readiness to come out en mass to vote for the candidates of the APC.
The group members said their morale have been significantly boosted through regular interactions and consistent engagements with the Accountant General of the state.
While praying for the success of the administration of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, they also prayed that God would continue to protect former governor Yahaya Bello and the State's Accountant General.
Those present at the meeting include the the coordinator of FAWWASS, Ogori/Magongo chapter, Mrs Williams Abisoye Dupe, APC Woman Leader in the local government area, Mrs Eunice Adebute, female Ward Special Assistants and Local Government Special Assistants in the area.
