Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has congratulated the people of the State on 33 years since the creation of Kogi state by the military government of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida on August 27, 1991.

The Accountant-General sued for peace and unity among all Kogites irrespective of religious, political and ethnic differences.

While urging the people of Kogi State to close ranks with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in his bid to take Kogi State to higher level of growth, progress and development, she advocated for prayers for sustained peace and stability in the state.

According to her, government exists to provide service to the people, adding that the government of Kogi State under Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to doing more in terms of security, salary payments, health infrastructures, and jobs provisions.
The AG expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the people of Kogi State since the inception of governor Usman Ododo's administration, and hailed former governor Yahaya Bello for the substantial progress made in 8 years in line with his New Direction Government Agenda.

The Accountant-General congratulates Kogites at home, and in the diaspora, and urged them not to rest on their oars, as they contribute their quota in the development of the state.
