Kogi AG, Habibat calls for unity, peace among APC members in Kogi Central

Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has appealed to All Progressives Congress (APC) faithfuls in Okene local government area to rally round and support the ward candidates of the party in the upcoming elections, noting that their unwavering support and dedications are crucial to the success of the candidates.

The Accountant-General stated this on Tuesday at the APC Secretariat (central) when the party presented its candidates to the people of the area.

According to her, the candidates are dedicated individuals who are passionate about driving positive change and progress at the grassroot level.

The AG appealed to those who raised eyebrows at the choice of the candidates to remain calm, positing that every individual has their own God-appointed time and those who are yet to benefit from the party, their time too will come soon.

While describing former governor Yahaya Bello as the messiah of Kogi State, the AG said former governor Yahaya Bello became a target due to his immense political weight and his unwavering love for the youths and women.

She said,

"It's obvious that the growing threat against our leader, former governor Yahaya Bello is because his popularity continues to soar by the day."

"But as Kogites, we must stand firmly behind our messiah who has dedicated his life to serving his people and uplifting the youths and women."

The AG prayed that Allah continue to protect the former governor and bless the incumbent with the needed wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
The event was attended by the Majority Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Abdulrazak and other top government functionaries including Alh. Adams Adabenege, Alh. Ibrahim Ahovi, Engr. Muhammad Abdulrazak and Hon. Zakari Yusuf.
