Kogi AG Habibat receives Ramatu Shehu Atta

... reiterates need for active women voices across the state.

There was palpable excitement and jubilation among Members of FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) as the Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko joined them in their last meeting held on Sunday.

Speaking during the meeting, the AG described Kogi State as a model for other states and enjoined Kogi women to sustain their support for Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo's administration in appreciation of his outstanding performance and inclusive government.

The AG also received Hajia Ramatu Tasalla Shehu Atta, a female aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Kogi Central senatorial election, who was on a courtesy visit to the group in GRA, Okene.

She described the former Registrar-General of the Abuja Multi-Door Court as a consummate and incorruptible lawyer who kept to the tenets of law, and was guided at all times with good conscience.

According to her, Kogi State is not short of outstanding, intelligent and resilient women, noting that Hajia Ramatu is a successful lawyer who has carved a niche for herself in the legal profession.

While urging the women of the state to key into, and also take advantage of programs rolled out for women by the state government, Hajia Habibat assured the womenfolk of the preparedness of the present government to continue to create enabling environment for them to succeed.

In her remark, Hajia Ramatu thanked the State Accountant-General for the warm reception and applauded the remarkable feats of the AG in empowering women through various interventions such as skills acquisition.

She expressed joy that the overwhelming representation of women at political rallies is transforming to increased opportunities for women in Kogi State.

The legal luminary charged members of FAWWASS to continue to give 100 per cent support and loyalty to the Accountant-General, positing that with the AG, the future of the group is bright.
