As Nigerians home and abroad celebrates Democracy Day on Wednesday 12th June, 2024 with various reflections on Nigeria's democratic journey so far, the PCRC National Chairman, *Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan* has stressed on the importance and need for all Nigerians to believe and be fully committed to the Nigeria project.
The highly elated PCRC number 1 member in Nigeria during a Democracy Day message shared on his social media platforms made it clear that "Nigeria can rise above her challenges if all hands can be on deck to make things work in our favor as a nation and not as individuals". Alhaji Olaniyan noted that nothing can beat the people's resolve to do what is right; first by believing in the success of their own country and secondly; by working meticulously towards achieving that success even when faced with difficult situations and challenges that we face today in Nigeria and other notable nations of the world.
He emphasized on the fact that no citizen(s) of another country can work for the greatness of Nigeria except Nigerians. With that understanding, the multiple chieftaincy title holder and award winner appealed to every good Nigerians at home or in the diaspora, leaders and followers alike; to retrace our steps and stop inflicting serious injuries on the country through our utterances and actions which are mostly based on hidden missions and selfish agendas.
Congratulating the President and the Commander in Chief of Nigeria's Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the Inspector General of Police, *IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun* on the occasion of year 2024 Democracy Day in Nigeria, he called for more supports, constructive criticism of the our leaders and then prayed that the soul of the late Chief Moshood Kashimaawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential Election which was annuled by the then military regime and other heroes of Democracy in Nigeria who have lost their lives in the struggle, continue to rest in peace.
