Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has congratulated governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress and Kogites at home and in the diaspora over Monday’s Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal judgement which affirmed Ododo's victory in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
The Accountant-General today in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital, hailed the judiciary for prevailing over intimidations and all manner of prejudice to deliver justice according to law.
She commended the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal for conducting a thorough and unbiased review of the election results, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that the will of the people is held sacred.
The AG maintained that the wishes of a vast majority of Kogites have been respected by the ruling.
She urged the opposition to sheath their swords and come on board in the task of building a new Kogi State.
Her statements in parts reads;
"I congratulate the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo on his Victory at the Tribunal"
"I also congratulate the All Progressives Congress and the people of Kogi State who believe in Kogi Agenda from inception".
"It's glaring that the Judiciary has performed their job with the fear of God."
"I'm calling on those in the opposition to see the victory of His Excellency, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as the will of God, and join hands with the government of the day to move the state forward".
