Extends Support to Rescued Students

The Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Suleiman AbdulRazak, extends heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the swift and successful rescue operation of abducted students from Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.

Following the distressing incident, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State, promptly initiated an on-the-spot assessment, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted students. Through collaborative efforts with security agencies and local authorities, significant progress has been achieved in securing the release of some of the abducted students.
In a show of solidarity and support, the Majority Leader embarked on a visit to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijani Anaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland who oversees the affected community, expressing condolences and reaffirming the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.

Furthermore, the Majority Leader personally visited the rescued students at the Reference Hospital Okene where they were receiving medical attention. During the visit, he conveyed words of encouragement and reassurance, emphasizing the government's dedication to providing necessary support and assistance throughout their recovery process and academic pursuits.

The Majority Leader commends the resilience and bravery demonstrated by the rescued students throughout this challenging ordeal. He assures them of the government's continuous efforts to enhance security measures and safeguard the educational institutions across Kogi State.

As we collectively strive towards a safer and more secure environment for all, the Majority Leader urges citizens to remain vigilant and cooperative with security agencies to prevent future occurrences of such unfortunate incidents.
