FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, applauding his inclusive leadership style and good governance that has brought unprecedented economic growth in the state.
According to the president of the group, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko, the decision to pass a vote of confidence on the governor became imperative taking into account his efficacious leadership virtue coupled with his transparency, accountability, and open policies.
Speaking in Government House, Lokoja, yesterday, Hon. Bilikisu said despite the economic quagmire confronting Ododo's administration and the country at large, the governor is performing excellently and meeting the expectations of the people of the state.
Hon. Bilikisu on behalf of the members of FAWWASS thanked Kogi state APC chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Bello for always encouraging and charging the group.
She said the group will continue to be committed, focus and supportive to the government of His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
While noting that the interest of the state should be above every other interest, she posited that the popular will of the peace loving people of Kogi State as expressed at the polls on the 11th day of November 2023 is not under any threat.
The group also thanked the Accountant-General of the state, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko for her receptions to all the groups received at the Government House, Lokoja. She said the reception was warm, entertaining and refreshing and prayed that the government would recommend that such invitations should be monthly routine.
