Kogi State Accountant-General (AG), Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko Ph.D, FCNA has congratulated Hon. Ibrahim Salami Ahovi over his appointment as the Managing Director, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA).
The AG said the government of His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo recognizes the urgent action needed to ensure access to safe and sustainable water, and sanitation for all.
She said water crisis has severe impacts on health, well-being, and productivity, leading to thousands of deaths each year from waterborne diseases like diarrhoea, cholera and typhoid fever.
According to her, Hon. Ibrahim Salami Ahovi will support policies that consolidate on measures to address refuse management, prioritize sustainable water management and ensure access to safe water for all, especially vulnerable populations.
While congratulating other appointees on their well deserved appointments and calling on the people of the state to continue to pray and support the Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo-led government, the AG expressed strong confidence that the tenure of Hon. Ibrahim Salami Ahovi as the Managing Director of RUWASSA will bring innovation, growth, and positive transformation to the agency.
