Kogi AG expresses optimism as Governor Ododo flags-off distributions of food palliatives.

Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has commended the executive governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo as he flagged-off distribution of food palliatives to the people of the state in Lokoja, Kogi State.

While fielding questions from journalist in Lokoja today, the AG said as a responsive government, the government of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has announced a number of measures aimed at ameliorating the effect of the policy of subsidy removal on the people, most especially the vulnerable.

Hajia Habibat said the governor in his magnanimity and in his bid to complement the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate distributions of 50 truckloads of 50kg bags of rice to households across all 239 council wards in the 21 LGA of the state, noting that the government of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has also been consistent with the payment of salaries of workers and pensions of retirees in the state.

She said no one would be left out in the distribution of the food irrespective of political, tribal or religious inclination, cautioning the stakeholders charged with the distributions not to undermine the sincere efforts of the government in mitigating the economic challenges faced by the people of the state.

While revealing that the government will soon commence more empowerment programs for the women, youths and persons with special needs in the state, she called for more supports and prayers for the administration of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo from the people of the state.
