Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko yesterday at the Unity Hall of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, charged the Directors of Local Governments and Treasurers of the 21 LGAs in Kogi State to make probity and prudence their watchword.
At a ceremony organized by the Directors of Local Government Councils and Treasurers of LGAs to thank Governor Yahaya Bello for rewarding hard work and excellence, and pushing for greater gender balance, the DLGs and Treasurers said the elevation of Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko to the position of the Accountant General of the State comes with a reward from competence, perseverance, hardwork and dedication.
Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko who was visible elated said, "I stand before you, deeply touched and inspired by your generous words of congratulations and encouragement."

"My appointment as the Accountant General of the State was an act of God. I never expected this position will come to me. Each time we gathered here, our prayers was God give us Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo because he is the only person that understands our language. He listen to everyone and has a large heart".
"For the DLGs, Treasurers and staff of this Ministry, please don't be emotional. We remain as One big family."
"As you all know, we have a special assignment in this Unity Hall and the assignment is a continuous process. We will continue to interface. This is not going to be the last time you will see me here in the Unity Hall."
The AG enjoined her successor to surpass her legacies in the Ministry with a charge to drive the programmes and policies of the present and incoming administration.
