Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko yesterday in Lokoja, stated that the numerous awards and honours won by Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello, reflects his outstanding disposition and general acceptability of his leadership style in the state and across the nation.
Reacting to Governor Yahaya Bello's visit to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja to intimate him on the security situation and level of development so far recorded by his administration in the state, the AG said by major parameters, Governor Yahaya Bello has excelled and surpassed the records of his predecessors in all critical aspects of the state’s economy, mentioning roads and drainages, pipe borne water supply, healthcare delivery, civil service reform, women and youth empowerment amongst other achievements in the last eight years.
According to her, Governor Yahaya Bello administration was committed to driving a narrative of governance that is aimed at making people at the grassroot level enjoy the dividends of democracy and build trust in government.
The AG said the Governor elect. Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo having learnt and still learning from the best performing governor in Nigeria will no doubt, bring the much needed development to the state by consolidating on the legacy projects of Governor Yahaya Bello.
She opined that the governor elect., Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo does not believe in propaganda, restating that his administration will deal with real people and embark on visible and verifiable projects that will have direct impacts on the wellbeing of the people of the state.
