The adjudged most formidable social-political group in Kogi State, FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Accountant-General of the state, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko.
In a statement issued by the president of the group, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko on behalf of FAWWASS, said the new Accountant-General's professional qualifications in accounting and public finance as well as her experiences from serving as a Treasurer in Okene Local Government Council, Director of Account with the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to holding the position of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry reflects her firm dedication to public service and financial acumen.
Hon. Bilikisu said she has the confidence that this position will be yet another success story for Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko as she has an in-depth record of excellence in her career.
Commending Governor Yahaya Bello's visionary leadership, the group said the Governor has again sets an inspiring example for others, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities to women based on their competence and merit.
The statement further described Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko as a worthy Ambassador of women, noting that her new appointment marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first female Accountant General in Kogi state, signifying a new era of dynamic leadership in the state.
While thanking His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello and the Governor-Elect for finding Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko worthy of the position, the group prayed God to grant Hajia Habibat the needed wisdom and strength to handle the task ahead.
