As Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas, the permanent secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko has greeted Christian faithfuls on the occasion of 2023 Christmas celebration, and sought the people's prayers and support for the incumbent governor Alh.Yahaya Bello and the governor-elect, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
She charged the Christian community in Kogi state to use the celebration of Christmas to pray for peace and stability in the state, noting that continuous support and prayers of the people of the state are critical to the development of the state.
She appealed to the Christians to be Christ-like by extending a hand of fellowship to the less privileged members of the society during the period.
She said no matter the political differences, all Kogites at home and in the diaspora must be committed to the task of building Kogi State.
The permanent secretary congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello and the governor-elect, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Commissioner in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Ozigibl Deedat, Forum of Director of Local Government and Local Government Treasurers, members of FairWin Women Advancement Association and other associates and wished them a prosperous new year.
