The Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko has congratulated the Governor-elect In Kogi state, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and posited that his victory is for all Kogites irrespective of tribe or political affiliation.
Hajia Habibat spoke in Okene local government secretariat today during a Victory March she organized to show that the peoples mandate given to Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo of the All Progressive Congress (APC) would be protected, and equally calling on the people of the state to accord the incoming governor every necessary support that will enable him succeed.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the victory of the APC candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo affirmed Governor Yahaya Bello's good performance in the last seven and a half years.
She expressed conviction that the people of Kogi state have expressed their will through the ballot, noting that the voice of the people will continue to stand as the voice of God.
The Permanent Secretary called on the people of the state to believe in the administration of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, assuring them that he would surpass their expectations.
She urged the candidates in the opposition parties to take the outcome of the election in good faith and accept the hand of fellowship offered by the Governor-elect for the progress of the state.
The Permanent Secretary prayed that God will grant Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo long life, good health and the wisdom to fulfil the collective aspirations of the Kogi people as well as his vision for a greater, peaceful and prosperous state.
