Today Sunday 26th November, 2023, the pioneer members of the Kogi State Youth Parliament marked one-year in Office.
It would be recalled that the Kogi State Youth Parliament was inaugurated on 26th November 2022 after its proclamation by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Rt Hon. Ibikunle Olajide while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja today, hailed Governor Bello on achievements recorded so far in the last 7 and half years,
According to the Speaker, the victory of the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo in the November 11 election was a clear justification for the performance of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Speaker said the Parliament plays a very important role, noting that the members of the Parliament were elected to represent the people of the state and therefore, accountable to the people of Kogi State.
He charges the youths of the state to continue to be law abiding and called for more supports for the Parliament to enable it deliver on its mandate.
