The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Domestic Affairs, Engr Abdulrazaq Aminu (Okakanda) has commissioned A Borehole In Agama Community as a promise fulfilled in his last pledge to the area after their complaints of lack of water.
Recalled that, Hon. Okakanda had taken grassroots campaigns to remote areas covering Irepeni 1 and 2, Irapana, Osarangada, Osara, Abobo, Oguda and driving as far as 100km to Agama Farms on the 1st of September 2023 to canvass for support for the candidate of APC, Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman.
Okakanda who interacted with the people and asked them to freely list out what their challenges were in the areas was thrown into emotion the moment the people of Agama said they were drinking the same water with cattles and would be risking their lives complaining. This lead to a promise of borehole to the people assuring them he will take their case to Governor Bello and the candidate of the APC, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Today, 9th of November 2023 is a day of excitement for Agama Community as Okakanda commissioned A Borehole In the area as a fulfilment of his promise.
The Special Adviser has shown a good example of a people centred leader who will go to any length to put smiles on people's faces and as a talk and do politician who will never trample on people's emotions for personal aggrandisement.
Okakanda while commissioning the Borehole, asked the people to acknowledge Governor Bello and APC candidate, Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman, stressing that it was out of their mentorship and strength that the project was executed. He further admonished the people to vote the APC candidate massively on Saturday.
The Chairman of the community while giving remark on behalf of his people said, they are short of words. He appreciates the gesture wholeheartedly.
"We had thought as usual that the promise was a mere propaganda and a typical of our regular politicians untill the drilling started. Till now that it is being commissioned, it is a dream comes true in more shocking ways. You are indeed a promise keeper among politicians and we appreciate you deeply."
"No amount of words are enough to show our appreciation, however we are assuring you that our hearts of gratitude will reflect in bloc votes for the APC Candidate, Alh. Ododo at the poll comes next Saturday."
