The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter has inaugurated members of its electoral committee to oversee elections into the office of State Chairman of the council.
Recall that the Deputy Chairman of the council, Comr. Osiako Sunday assumed the chairmanship position in acting capacity after the impeachment and expulsion of the erstwhile Chairman.
In line with the constitutional provision of the NYCN, which mandates a three-month notice before elections following necessary consultations, the Acting Chairman has constituted an electoral committee to conduct an election into the office of the state chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter.
Comr. Osiako in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday in Lokoja, said that the committee would ensure a smooth conduct of the election, adding that the committee would be duly inaugurated at a later date.
