The NYCN Ogori/Magongo chapter in the early hours of today, Thursday November 9, 2023, embarked on a walking sensitization program to educate the electorates of the need to participate in Saturday's governorship election. This was shortly after having an interactive session with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the local government..
The Council also paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Police, Ogori/Magongo Division and the Nigeria Army formation in the area, seeking their support for a peaceful electoral process.
The Coordinator of the Youth Council, Comr. Godwin Alao Foregan during the visitations said there's need for collaboration with security outfits in the area for adequate protection of lives and property of the people.
He said the NYCN as the Apex youth body will work with the security outfits in the area, most importantly furnishing them with useful information.
Comr. Godwin further appealed to the youths in the area to desist from electoral violence before, during and after the election saying "Vote Not fight" and they should not allow themselves to be used by any politician as thugs to cause violence instead they should be agents of peace.
