Christians under the umbrella of the Adavi-Eba Believers Political Forum have thrown their support behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo for the November 11 Kogi governorship election.
In an endorsement program organized by Mrs Ruth Michael (JP), she said the purpose of their coming together was to thank God for His abundant blessings over the life of the APC candidate and to pray for his victory in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
She said God is interested in Ododo's case, charging the people of the state to see his emergence as the APC governorship candidate as the hand work of God.
Also speaking at the event, Prophet Daniel Alaba Ododo said this is the first time the Adavi-Eba Believers Political Forum is coming out to endorse a candidate.
He admonished Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo to be highly connected and be in constant touch with the people at the grassroot level across the state and focus on projects that has direct impacts on the lives of the people of Kogi State after his victory.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the event, Amb. Gimbiya Hannatu Usman Nga commended the christian body for endorsing the candidate of the APC and charged them to encourage their friends, neighbours and family members to support Kogi continuity and consolidation agenda.
Others who attended the events were christian leaders across Ebiraland and representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
