The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Abuga/Ozuja ward, Okengwe-Ohi district of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State yesterday, held a ward rally to galvanize support for the governorhip candidate of the (APC), Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Mr. Salifu Joel Oyibo.
Speaking during the rally, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko urged the the people of the area to get their permanent voters’ card (PVC) ready, adding that it is the only means they can utilize to get the party's candidate into power.
Hajia Habibat said if Alh. Usman Ododo is elected to succeed Governor Yahaya Bello, his government is going to consolidate on the achievements in critical sectors of the economy and continue to provide inclusive governance across the state without discriminations.
According to her, the women in the state are gunning for good leadership that will focus on women and one that will carry them along.
She charges the women and the youths of the area to fully key into the Kogi Agenda project as it holds development and prosperity for the state.
She said, "APC knows what you need. The party knows you need good roads, you need security, you need free education, you need standard health facilities, your children needs employment and our mothers need empowerments. I'm appealing to all of you to key into Kogi Agenda project for more development and prosperity."

Muktar Bello a.k.a Senator, Head of Civil Service, Mrs Hannah Odiyo, Council Leader Okene Legislative Council, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko, Treasurer, Kogi Local Government, Alh. Yusuf Ohikwura, House of Assembly Member representing Okene II, Hon. Zakari Yusuf, Special Adviser to Governor Bello, Hon. Ibrahim Ahovi, Chairman, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adams Adabenege and many other dignitaries.
