The Nigeria Youth Parliament, the apex body of youth legislators in Nigeria as enshrined in the Nigeria Constitution is saddled with the responsibility of propagating youths demand through legislative procedures and serve as advocacy for good governance.
Kogi State Youth Parliament was proclaimed by His Excellency, Gov Yahaya Adoza Bello on the 25th of November 2023 as a gateway for more youths in governance and ever since, the Kogi State Youth Parliament Speakers has been actively involved in the decision making of the state as regard youths.
The Speaker, Rt Hon Ibikunle Olajide, member representing Yagba East in the just concluded election of the conference of speakers in Nigeria emerged as the Public Relation Officer, (PRO).

The Speaker, Kogi State Youth Parliament in his goodwill message, appreciated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Gov Yahaya Bello for his continuous support towards the growth of the youths of Kogi State.
The Speaker who also appreciated the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi, Pharm Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku said he's constantly creating a roadmap for younger generation to take the lead.
He further stated that "my profound gratitude goes to my Boss and benefactor, Hon Ahmadu Jibril Oludare, Special Adviser on Youths and Student Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kogi who in his magnanimity have always been supporting me, the Parliamentarians and the entire youths of the state to greatness".
To whom much is given , much is expected, i must commend the efforts of the Rt Hon Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly who was a former Speaker of Kogi State Youth Parliament for his tremendous support and encouragements towards the growth of Parliamentarians and the goodwill of Kogi State.
Kogi State is on the road map for greater opportunities and achievements and by God Grace , we will record many more success to come, Hon. Olajide added.
