Kogi poll: Perm. Sec. Habibat hails Supreme Court Verdict as Court Affirms Ododo As Authentic Candidate of the APC

The Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko has hailed Supreme Court ruling upholding the outcome of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that produced Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo as the party's candidate for November 11 governorship election.

The Permanent Secretary said the ruling had further proven the judiciary to be critical institution that is committed to deepening Nigeria's democratic values.

She congratulated the leader of the APC in the state, Governor Yahaya Bello, the APC candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and the state party chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Bello, positing that the victory was for all Kogites at home and in the diaspora.

According to her, the Judiciary has fully established that a lawful primary election were held across the wards in Kogi State and won by Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, contrary to the claim of Sen. Smart Adeyemi.

The Permanent Secretary reiterated that Alh. Usman Ododo is capable of giving Kogites quality and responsive governance in the state, noting further that with the supreme court ruling, the APC has sent a signal to the moles and other political parties that it remains the party to beat in the forthcoming governorship election.

She charged members and supporters of the APC in the state to continue to show committments and ensure they deliver all the votes of their polling units and wards to the party come November 2023.
