The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko has commended the Hausa/Fulani community in Kogi Central as the group declared support for the governorship ambition of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The declaration was made during an endorsement rally organized by Alh. Isah Usman in Okene on Sunday.

The community led by Alh. jimah Jango vowed bloc votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alh. Jango said the representative of Hausa/Fulani communities in Zariagi, Ogori/Magongo, Adogo and other areas within the state were not left out in the endorsement, stating that they're confident that their interest would be protected in the present and next administration by Hajia Habibat Onumoko. They made a number of appeals to the Governor to include Borehole in the Hausa market and jobs for some of their members who are graduates.
Hajia Habibat in her response, commended the community for partnering with the state government in checkmating criminal herdsmen from coming into the state by documenting and profiling new herdsmen upon arrival. She said all their requests were noted and would be attended to, stressing that the non-indigenes in the state would continue to enjoy the benevolence of the Governor Yayaya Bello-led administration in the state.

She charges the group to secure their PVC and come out en mass to vote for the candidate of the APC in the November 11 governorship election.
High points of the event were donations of APC campaign materials, fertilizers, sprayers etc to the group and the unveiling of the Hausa/Fulani Campaign office for Ododo in Okene.
