The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko has called on the workers in the state to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Hon. Oyibo Salifu Joel, stating that the present administration under Alh. Yahaya Bello has prioritize civil servants and pensioners welfare, therefore APC deserves continuity.
While commending the civil servants in the state for their unwavering support to the present administration, the Perm. Secretary explained that the government of Alh. Yahaya Bello would not have achieve its campaign promises without commitments and cooperations from the civil servants.
Speaking in Ajaka, Igalamela-Odolu local government area today, Hajia Habibat said, "civil servants are more concerned about their well-being. They want good life for themselves and for their families. The APC candidate was with us in the civil service and Joel Salifu was a teacher. Their emergence has further established the fact that the government of Alh. Yahaya Bello has regard for the civil servants in the state."
The Perm. Secretary also called on retired civil servants in the state to support the candidacy of Alh. Ahmed Ododo, stating that it's only when they do this that they can continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
She charged the workers in the state to convince their family members, friends and neighbours to support the APC governorship candidates so that the progress and developments being enjoyed by Kogites would not be truncated.
"Keep your PVC for APC. Ododo's government would consolidate on the achievements of the present administration," the Perm. Secretary added.
Some of the APC stakeholders from Kogi Central who attended the road walk were the Chairman, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adams Adabenege, Hon. Ibrahim Ahovi amongst others.
