The adjudged most formidable support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) has restated its commitment to the ruling APC stressing that its members are for progressive ideals.
Speaking in the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami M. Ozigi Deedat, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry who founded FAWWASS, Hajia Habibat Onumoko described the Commissioner as a man of impeccable character.
Hajia Habibat while thanking the commissioner for his kind words and warm reception, assured that members of FAWWASS will not betray the confidence reposed in them.
She said, "our women are happy. We felt the impact of this government. We got opportunity to perform holy pilgrimage, our children were giving jobs and appointments and we were empowered to be self reliant. This is why we will continue to support the government of APC in the state."
Responding, the Commissioner, thanked the group for the visit and expressed joy that such a body was put in place in Kogi central. He equally thanked the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello for his support and political will which has tremendously helped him to realize his potentials.
Barr. Deedat insisted that APC would abide by extant laws, rules and regulations guiding peaceful conduct of elections in the country, expressing optimism that the party would win convincingly.
The commissioner charged Kogites at home and in the diaspora to support the candidate of the APC, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo to enjoy more gains of democracy.
He commended FAWWASS for their genuine love for APC and the new Direction Team, encouraging them to be unwavering.
"FAWWASS is a unique group in Kogi State. It's gratifying to note that FAWWASS is changing the narratives. I love the group and the love I see existing among the members is beyond mere gathering for politics. I've been following the activities of the group. Our governor and our governorship candidate are aware of your activities too. Our Perm. Sec who founded the group is doing a great job and we're seeing the results. She's stabilizing the system. I am urging all of you to continue to love one another and I hope more togetherness would achieved by members of the group."
"I want this group to continue to cooperate and form strong bond to give our party victory in every election." the commissioner added.
