2023 Gubernatorial Election and Our Expectations

A concerned social group for good governance known as Movement For Good Governance In Nigeria (MGGN) writes to remind the three states namely; Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa where governorship election will hold, that as we approach the month of November, they should continue with peaceful campaigns and shun ethnic bigotry.

The president of the group Comr. A.A Salisu in a statement made available to Thengreporters in Abuja on Friday 29th September, 2023, commend the orderliness of the political parties with candidate in the three states for they have displayed that after party affairs, we are one in Nigeria.

The President gave stern warning that as the campaign is going on peacefully no one should bridge the law of peace and orderliness maintained by the security operatives. He as well asked that all the security personnel following each candidate should live by example.

He therefore make it clear to the media and newsmen that anyone found wanting of sponsoring thuggery and other election abnormalities should be exposed and held responsible to face the wrath of law, stating that such is capable of disqualifying the candidates of involved parties. He said all party chairman whose candidate are in contest should caution their subjects as the present peace wont be taken with easy for anyone trying to cause mayhem.

He applauds the National Security Advicer to the president Mr Nuhu Ribadu to always do justice to any security hitherto not minding whose shoe is to be stepped on.

Thank you all as we wish you all a fruitful campaigning and by November 11 the winner will be known.

God bless you all
God bless FRN.

Comr. Akachukwu Kingsley.

(Publicity Secretary, MGGN)
