Stop chasing shadows, FAWWASS tells those seeking Ododo's disqualification

... it's obvious Ododo is the most popular candidate among the major contenders, says Perm. Sec. Habibat Onumoko.

The adjudged most formidable support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) has asked those seeking to disqualify Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo to stop chasing shadows. This reaction followed a case instituted by Senator Smart Adeyemi at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, seeking to nullify the primary election of the APC in Kogi State where Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo emerged as the party's candidate.

The group also frowned at Kogi politicians going to National Televisions to dent the hard earned reputation of the state and the administration of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, calling on them to be patriotic and be good ambassadors of the state.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko who is the founder of the group advised those in the opposition to join hands with the ruling party for the overall development of the state.

Hajia Habibat said it has become so obvious that Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has the majority of the people at the grassroot level in the 21 LGAs of the state, maintaining that Ododo remains the top choice to Kogites at home and in the diaspora to become the state's next governor.

Also at the meeting over the weekend in Okene was the Chairman, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adabenege Adams.

Hon. Adabenege hailed the group for their resilience and outstanding support for the Candidate of the APC, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Hon. Adabenege said,

"most people when they see your pictures and watch your videos, they say it's a photoshop. Those set of people would have to come here to see that what they see on pictures and watch on videos are real."

"They must also see that every member here has permanent voter's card. No doubt, this group alone can deliver over 5000 votes for any candidate. I'm moved to be attending your meetings every Sunday", Hon. Adabenege added.
The high point of the meeting was the cash reward for some members of the group to support them as transport fares goes high.
