As part of furthering the campaign of The APC candidate Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and also making health care available to the vulnerables in Kogi State, The Progressive Health Care Professionals and Associates (PHCPA) on Monday 7th August, 2023 embarked on Medical outreach in Sheikh Hassan Mikailu Islamic Center, 500 housing Unit, Lokoja, Kogi state.
The Coordinator of the program, Pharmacist Salamat in her address noted that women are very important in the society and should not be taken for granted.
In her words:
"God in His wisdom made wome the channel through which every mortal passes to the world. Hence, no woman should be allowed to die or suffer any loss as a result of child birth. Having studied the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alh. Ahmed Ododo as a man who loves women and want to build on the legacies of His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, I deem it fit to compliment his efforts my organizing this team of professionals and associates to give back to the society especially our women and also to solicit your support and prayers in ensuring that Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo emerge victorious in the November governorship election."
Earlier, the founder of the Islamic center, Sheikh Hassan Mikailu commended Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo and declared his unalloyed support for him. The religious cleric, took time to pray for the state, the incumbent Governor Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and assured that his followers will key along the progressive team for a better Kogi State.
Goodwill message was delivered by the wife of the Honourable member representing Okene 11 constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Mrs. Yusuf Zakari.
Dr. Onimisi Abdullahi and Pharmacist Lawal Muhammad gave a health talk on the implications of Malaria in pregnancy, Medication, drug misuse and the benefits of using insecticide treated mosquito nets respectively.
Pharmacist Rabiu Muhamed and Nurse Abigail Ango at the event, also sensitized the women on the essence of pre/postnatal heath care.
The outreach was indeed, a relief and a life saver for the women who attended the program.
The women poured encomium and prayers for the Progressive Health Care Professionals and Associates (PHCPA)for locating them and they all decalared their total support for Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo for the November Kogi governorship election.
