Progressives Health Care Professionals and Associates (PHCPA) for Ododo 2023 on Friday, 18th August 2023, embarked on a massive medical outreach in Upogoro/Ondeku ward and Abuga/Ozuja ward, all in Okene 11 constituency, Okene Local Government Area.
The coordinator of the team Pharmacist Salamat expressed her joy giving back to the society on the account of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Pharmacist Salamat said malaria as one of the major killer diseases in Africa needed urgent attention and it's her desire for the whole Kogites to be in good health so as to vote massively for APC come 11th November 2023.
The PHCPA coordinator who couldn't hide her joy, expressed gratitude to His Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello for believing in the candidacy of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo, Stressing that she has no doubt that Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo will take Kogi to the promise land.
High point of the event was goodwill messages from the member representing Okene 11 constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Zakari (NESCAFE), distribution of free drugs, distribution of over one thousand treated mosquito nets to the constituents, health talk and examination by medical practioners while those with critical health conditions were immediately referred to nearby hospital for proper treatment.
Beneficiaries of the outreache expressed their joy, thanked the coordinator of the team, her team members and the APC candidate, promising to vote massively for the APC gubernatorial candidate come November 2023
The medical practioners present who are also part of the group, Dr Ondeku and Pharmacist Habib emphasized the need for regular medical check up respectively.
Recall that similar outreach was carried out in Lokoja Local Government Area where a woman who complained of severe breast pain suspected to be cancer is still under the treatment of the team.
