The Acting Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Sunday Osiako has on behalf of the council has sent congratulatory message to the newly deployed Honorable Minister of Steel Development, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu.
The apex coordinating body for youth activities in the state profoundly appreciated His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for the strategic deployment of Alhaji Abubakar Audu as it awakened and rekindled the lost hope of Kogites both home and abroad due to the potentials embedded in the country's giant dormant resources buried in Ajaokuta. With the appointment of Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu as Honorable Minister of Steel Development, the youth body believes that the time for the sleeping giant to awake has finally come.
Comrade Osiako also ahead to eulogized His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for the tremendous role played in order to ensure that Kogi State gets a substantial ministerial appointment for the very first time in over a decade. Emphasized that this act has further reimposed the confidence of Kogites in the leadership prowess of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The youth leader in m admonished the newly deployed Honorable Minister to kickstart reform initiatives not only in Ajaokuta Steel Company, but in the country's steel development; as the sector would serves as a rewarding alternative to the country's economy, and even sources of livelihoods, away from the gross dependent on oil derivatives.
